Blake Childs is the owner and general contractor of DIGS Construction. As evidenced by the photos below, Blake has dreamed of becoming an excavator and builder since he was a young boy. Over the years, he has gained valuable trade skills working in excavation, earth moving, foundation forming/pouring, framing, siding, painting, roofing and more.

 

Blake learned technical, trade and business skills attending college at Brigham Young University (BYU) where he graduated with a bachelors degree in Construction Management in April 2025. He did summer internships for a national home builder managing quality control and for an out-of-state property owner painting investment rentals. After serving a full-time church mission in Los Angeles, CA he also speaks Spanish fluently. With these credentials, skills, & experience, Blake had opportunities to begin his career as a superintendent in commercial and/or residential construction; however, his real dream was to own his own construction company.

 

Blake made his dream a reality when he registered his new construction company, DIGS Construction LLC, in January of 2025. He and his wife, Madeline (BSN/RN & Crescent Valley HS Graduate), have settled in Corvallis, Oregon where they plan to develop this company and build their family for years to come.
